10 More Things I Love

10 More Things I love :)

1. Beading and making jewelry

I love most crafty things, and making jewerly has been my latest new love. I've always admired that handmade jewelry I see at craftshows, etc. But I've never been crazy about the prices. So I looked at it all one day and thought "I can do that." And I did. And I love it. http://thehiers.web.officelive.com/default.aspx

2. Bed Head smoothing cream

After trying different products to smooth the frizzies without the greasiness, I fell head over heals for this one. My very thoughtful and generous friend Dana gave it to me!

3. Going to the library

Last year it dawned on me to go to the library. I haven't been in years. I love to read. What the heck was I thinking? So I finally went and of course enjoyed every minute. We are talking about free books! Well, you get to keep them for 3 weeks! :) And let's not forget the movies. You can check out DVDs too (for 5 days). And the best part is checking out the Blu-Ray discs. We got a Blu-Ray player for Christmas, but it costs $6 or $7 to rent one. So as my brother says, "if it's free, give me three!" LOL

4. Garlic press by Pampered Chef

If you don't know it, I love garlic. Especially since being pregnant, I've been really tempted to just eat it raw! Ha! (My sister did that once as a kid and breath stunk for a week, no joke! LOL) I finally found this press, again after trying many, and it's definitely my fav. The press inside is flat, not "spoked", and you can put a clove in there without peeling it first. Can you say AWESOME!

5. Oil-free Make-up Remover

Yeah, yeah, again I sell it. Well AGAIN, I love it! :) As a matter of fact, I think this is the one product I sell the most of. It's quite amazing. It's safe for contact-lense wearers like me and takes off even waterproof mascara so easily. Funny story, another Mary Kay consultant told me "it even takes off clown make-up" which came to mind one day when I couldn't get one of those temporary tatoos off of Josh's arm. His poor little arm was red from me trying to scrub it off, and then I remembered the OFEM remover. Voila! One swipe!

6. Sol-U-Mel

Okay, one more product. This is a cleaner with melaleuca oil in it that I order from the Melaleuca company. I'll just say this: It's been the most effective for me on my carpet. It's removed blood, vomit, and poop. . . I know that's gross, but between a dog and a toddler, it's gonna happen.

7. Miniatures

They are just cute. Anything miniature, my eye is drawn to and soon after an "awe" comes out of my mouth. Maybe it's because I never had a doll house when I was a kid. Haha. Scott's grandmother in Colorado makes lots of miniature houses and settings. I love to see them.

8. Planning

I enjoy planning and putting things together. For the most part, this is a quality. Sometimes, it's been to my dismay. lol. I've been known to get caught up in the planning, but then haven't carried it through to fruition. Overall, though, it's been a good thing. :) If it weren't for working weekends and dealing with bridezillas, I'd probably like being a wedding planner.

9. Target!

Do I really need to explain?

10. Our couch! :)

Soon after moving into our house, we started shopping for a sectional sofa. We took one day, I believe on Memorial Day weekend (there's good sales on holiday weekends), to go shopping. Our first stop was La-Z Boy, and then we spent the entire day going from one store to another sitting on couches. After an exhausting day, we went back to La-Z boy and bought the first couch our buns fell in love with. At least we knew there wasn't a better deal out there.
