After much debate, we finally decided on Caleb Scott. I was literally hooked up to an IV awaiting surgery as Scott and I were talking about names. I love Caleb, and Scott especially likes Cal, which I think is pretty darn cute myself. So that's probably what we'll call him, that is when I'm not calling him Josh by mistake. It's so hard not to call him Josh. It's already slipped a few times. Haha!

He does look a lot like Joshua when he was a newborn. But there are some slight differences. For one, Cal has a lot more hair than Josh did. And it seems to be darker too. And I think his face is a little more broad between his ears and temples, more like my face shape. He's so cute. I'm eager to see how his looks will change as he grows out of the wrinkly newborn stage. :)
The surgery went well, and apparently inevitable. We'd scheduled the c-section for other reasons, but it turns out that if not for those reasons another came up - footling breach. Breach is when the baby's head is up and butt is down, but footling breach is when the feet are down too instead of curled up in the fetal position. I knew this from an earlier ultrasound, but we (nurses at following appointments) thought that he'd turned around. This explains the constant and accurate kicks to my bladder. Ha! Anyway, like I said, everything went well. I can tell a huge difference in recovery since I didn't labor first. I'm healing much faster. Yay!
We were so curious to see Josh's reaction to his new brother. Unfortunately he couldn't come visit us in the hospital (strict rules due to swine flu and rsv etc.), and it was hard to be away from him for so long. When they finally met, Josh had just woken up from a nap, and he just stared at his brother. After a little while, and when the baby would move or coo, Josh went wild with excitement. He points and yells "baby!" So far so good, he seems excited and interested in Cal. And it's so cute how gentle he is with him. He's going to be a great big brother. Oh, and he's already protecting him from the dog, so funny. We put Cal in the swing and Josh would stop Sarge from getting too close on more than one occassion saying "No!" or "Move!" So sweet. :) Here's a quick picture of them together.

As you can imagine there's a million pictures already on my new camera. It'll take me a while to sort through them, so I'll share some here and there.
Thanks as always for reading!
